Treasurer, of Community First Health Co-op released the 2007 Financial
Statement at last night’s Annual General Meeting with the comment “Assets of Community First Health
Co-op now exceed $1,000,000”. The Annual General Meeting was held
in the Health Co-op’s new Wellness Centre at In her annual report,
Deb Zeeben, Chair of Community First Health Co-op, stated “With community partners including
Nelson Community Services Centre Society, Acupuncture and Natural Health
Clinic, Community First Medical Clinic, Kootenay Boundary Regional Resources
Co-op, West Kootenay Childcare Resources & Referral, Selkirk College,
Kootenay Kids Society, Children First and Nelson & District Credit Union
- the quest has begun!” The Health Co-op vision is to combine traditional medical services
and alternative medicine practices in a single location, with an additional
focus on education and prevention for young and old alike. Lynn Adams, Chair
of the Health Co-op’s Communication Committee and a member of the
Community Advisory Group, stated “This
